This is an awesome video from Kristen Howerton and friends. Kristen blogs regularly at Rage Against The Minivan blog. You can also follow her on Twitter.

As an adoptive family of both African-American and Caucasian children, we understand how inappropriate and ridiculous people’s comments and questions can be. Several months ago I even blogged about proper adoption lingo. Has it helped cut down on people’s outrageous questions? Not really! That’s why I love this video. Check out their posts and enjoy a good laugh!

Question: Are you an inter-racial or transracial family? What are some other things you’ve heard people say? You can leave a comment by clicking here.

TOO STINKIN’ FUNNY!!! I laughed the entire time as my wife and I have experienced much of that same stuff, except for the Pitt-Jolie comparison. Although, I DO like to think I look like Brad Pitt but, of course, only MY eyes see the resemblance 🙂 Sadly, I’m not sure what else can be done to change the ignorance that exists. It’s not rocket science. Every so often you just assume common sense is going to reign supreme…..and it never does. Thanks for the laugh 🙂

    • Brian, glad you liked it. I laugh everytime I watch it.

Pamela, that is too funny. We get asked the same. All from Indiana folks, all from Indiana. HA!
