  • Self control
  • Working memory
  • The ability to plan ahead
  • Complete tasks
  • Be flexible

What does Executive Functioning look like?

  • Stealing
  • Hot stove
  • Getting ready for school
  • Playing with friends, or functioning in social situations

What can we do?

  1. Bite size pieces of information
  2. Repeat
  3. Practice builds habit
  4. Be the external brain
  5. Accommodate, do not enable
